WHAT IS YOUR CHALLENGE?
Climate change and its associated challenges for humanity are topics that are gaining popularity and growing in significance with each passing year. The greenhouse effect stands as a pivotal factor in this global shift. Alongside natural emissions of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, various human activities contribute to the heightened concentration of these gases. Assessing the influence of a specific activity, individual, organization, or country can reveal their environmental impact.
As a result, there is a growing recognition of the necessity for both individual and collective efforts to alleviate environmental consequences and address climate change. When people are educated about their role in the environment, it can empower them to enact measures to minimize their effect on the ecosystem. Effective method aiding in reducing carbon emissions and contributing to environmental sustainability, carbon offset projects help individuals and organizations partially prevent or entirely eliminate generated carbon emissions from their activities.
The challenge you face is to develop a program that serves as a consultant to various organizations regarding their environmental impact and actions they could take to reduce it by participating in exemplary environmental offset projects.
Detailed instructions for the task will be sent to registered participants the day before the start of the hackathon.
